Gubio Local Government Primary Health Car (GLPHC) is hosting an ongoing COVID-19 cascade training for health workers and clients.
The Director, Mallam Shettima Kashim, used the occasion to welcome all participants and facilitators to the training during the official flag -off at Zajeri Secondary school in Maiduguri.
The DPHC commended all stakeholders including the BoSPHCDA under the leadership of the Executive Director, Dr. Sule Meleh, for the unprecedented support to the health system at the grassroots level and urged all participants to be very attentive and observe all the needed guidelines enshrined in the training template to ensure control and prevention of COVID-19, and flattened the curve level of the pandemic at the grassroots level.
The training which was organized by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), in conjunction with Borno State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BoSPHCDA) and supporting partners such as National Stop Transmission of Polio Local Government and the Consultant of Gubio, led by Dr. Abdullahi Idi Mohammed, Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), World Health Organization (WHO) among other development partners.
A total of 26 participants, 11 Facilitators and 2 Supervisors from the BoSPHCDA attended the Day- 1 training which is expected to last for three days.
