Adamawa Governor Fintiri inaugurates members of state scholarship trust fund

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has inaugurated members of the Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund with a charge on them to fashion out good policies and programmes in the discharge of their new responsibilities.

The Governor during the inauguration held in his office Friday said his administration has given education a priority and therefore charged the members to device more ways of getting income, so that Adamawa State students will benefit.

This was contained in a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media.

He also enjoined the inaugurated members of the trust fund to invest with the little resources available for future benefits of students and declared that government will continue to accord the sector the necessary attention it deserves.

Responding, the Chairman of the Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund, Alhaji Salihu Yunusa Belel thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for giving them the opportunity to serve under his administration.

Alhaji Belel told the Governor that they will source funds from government and donor agencies to enable Adamawa students studying both within and outside the state get scholarship assistance from government.

The Chairman pledged that they will discharge their duties diligently and assured the Governor their unflinching support and loyalty to his administration in order to enable him deliver the state to greater heights.
