Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State
The Supreme Court will deliver judgement on Friday June 26, 2020 in a pre-election trial between Musa Wada and Mohammed Idris Ibrahim over who actually won the ticket of PDP in the November, 2019 Governorship election.
lbrahim, the son of e-governor of Kogi State, lbrahim ldris, had dragged Wada who contested against Yahaya Bello of APC in the November, 2019 Governorship election, claiming he is the rightful candidate of PDP. The case came up on Tuesday but the Supreme Court reserved judgement to Friday after hearing argument from the appealant in what many lawyers believe is a none issue.
Apex News Exclusive gathered that Mohammed is strongly held to be pursuing the case at the instigation of his father after refusing to abide by the party decision on the ticket given to Wada.
Political observers in and outside Kogi State are of the opinion that whether Mohammed wins or loses, it will be a disaster for ex-governor Idris in the political relevance of the state.
