How women, youths benefited on Zakah WAQF Foundation in Gombe -Founder

The Founder of Zakah WAQF Foundation in Gombe State, Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido has described the foundation as a synergy where Muslim ummah within the state and environs are expected to gift 10 percent of their wealth for the work of Allah.
He made the disclosure in Gombe in an interview with Apex News Exclusive.
According to him, the foundation which came into existence about two years ago has created remarkable achievement where women and youths are the beneficiaries.
He said no fewer than 88 women have been supported with cash of N10,000 through the foundation to start their petty businesses as while as youths have been trained in different skills acquisition programmes.
The aimed of the foundation was to ensure that the vulnerable have mean of livelihood in the society, he said.
Zakah, WAQF is necessary according to Islamic injunction to gift 10 percent of wealth to support the work of Allah he added.
He appealed to Muslim ummah to always remember and gift out their 10 percent of Zakah, WAQF yearly as the foundation is working tirelessly to see that the work of Allah is done without hindrance.
The foundation which is a non governmental organization has taking a bowl step in bringing peace and unity among Muslim ummah which has been the Cardinal point in Islam, Lamido said.
He decried that even though the foundation was planning more ahead to reach the needy where a virus known as COVID-19 distracted the plan.
