Reaping dividend of his good works can’t just wait. This time, it is coming from a group of catholic youths of the Catholic Youth Centre in Makurdi.
In their numbers, representatives of the youths on the first day of February throng the Makurdi residence of the former Acting Director-General of Standards Organization of Nigeria, and strong contender of the 2023 governorship polls in Benue State, Dr. Paul Angya in appreciation to his unequalled contributions to issues of electricity distribution.
Angya in time past, among other contributions had purchase of transformer for the community.
For lightening up the community, the Catholic Youths conferred on him, an award of excellence for community development.
Presenting the award, youth leader, who spoke on behalf of the group applauded Angya’s contribution describing it as unconditional for community development. He said, the award is meant to be a motivation for him to do more. He called on youths and the entire people of Benue state to support Angya’s governorship ambition to salvage Benue the more.
Receiving the award, Dr Angya said he is elated for the honour done to him. Speaking further, he noted that his quest to administer development to the people of the state remains the uppermost reason for seeking their support.
Angya is known for his penchant for philanthropic gestures. The entire community of Tse Mker in Vandeikya LG was switched to light as he sponsored electrification of the community. He has his tentacles spread in other humanitarian and empowerment ventures.
