Obiano directs religious, market leaders, others to enforce COVID-19 safety protocols

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has directed Religious and Market leaders as well as Management of all the hospitals in the State to enforce all the Covid-19 safety protocols in their various areas.
Governor Obiano gave the directive at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area during a Mass.
The Governor who spoke through his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke said that the government is doing everything possible to control the spread of Covid-19 in Anambra State, and called for the cooperation of the residents.
Chief Obiano who regretted that many Churches and Markets in the State are yet to comply with safety measures against the virus.
He urged Ndi Anambra to comply with the curfew the State government will impose on Monday, from nine o’clock in the evening to six o’clock in the morning, as one the measures to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the State.
Earlier in a homely, the Catholic Bishop of Awgu Diocese, Most Reverend John Okoye encouraged Christians to always live the life of love and charity.
