Taraba assembly urges assistance to Nguroje fire disaster victims

Taraba State House of Assembly has received a letter of urgent public importance on the need for government to assist the victim of fire disaster at some public places in Nguroje town sponsored by the minority leader Bashir Mohammed.
This was contained in a motion moved by the minority leader Bashir Mohammed and seconded by the deputy majority leader Ahmed Dawud Jedua.
Leading the debate the sponsor of the motion Bashir Mohammed said the mysterious fire incident took place in three different location between January 2 and first February 1, 2021 in cattle market, motor park and round about all in Nguroje town.
He said the fire incident had destroyed property worth millions of naira which has affected the well being of citizen considering the covid 19 pandemic.
The minority leader Bashir Mohammed pray for the need for government to provide relief materials, provide fire fighting materials for victims of the desaster and permanent structure main cattle market.
Contributing member representing Ibi constituency, Abdulkarim Mohammed included additional prayer for government to send state emergency Management Agency of know the magnitude of the damage caused by the fire desaster and act appropriately.
The members unanimously adopted the prayers and the clerk of the house Mellah Orngue was asked to communicate the resolution of the House.
Earlier the speaker Joseph Albasu Kunini said fire desaster is a natural disasters that could happen to any one while sympathising with the people of Nguroje.
He called on all citizens of the state to be careful in the season of harmattan as the move about their day to day activities while appreciating his colleagues for considering the motion.
