Bauchi car dealers association commend President Buhari for reducing tarrif on car imports

The Bauchi State chapter of the Association of Car dealers of Nigeria has commended the Federal Government under the good leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari for the recent removal of 30% out of the 35% tariff on the importation of cars into the country.
The State Chairman of the Association in Bauchi, Alhaji Kabiru Sa’idu of Katsina Motors, made the remarks while speaking with newsmen in his office.
Alhaji Kabiru, said the removal of the tariff from 35% to, 5% on the importation of cars to Nigeria is an indication that president Buhari is a listening leader and means well to the good people of Nigeria. Saying that when the tax on impartation was increased to 35%, the Association had cried and pleaded with the federal government as it seriously affected their business.
He said ” Thank God today the president has put smiles in the faces of millions of members of this association in Nigeria and by extension millions of car buyers in the country who before now can not due to high cost of cars as a result of the high tax on the importation.
The Chairman observed that this development will greatly improve the economy of the country as it gives opportunity to dealers to import more cars which is more revenue into the nation account for people to enjoy more devidends of democracy.
Katsinawa Motors , assured Federal Government of the Association’s full support and loyalty to the present administration and will strictly comply with the laws and regulations guiding the importation of the cars into the country for the good of all Nigerians.
He also expressed gratitude with the Federal Government for opening the land border to burst the nations economy.
Alh. Saidu, used this opportunity to appreciate the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, for his giant efforts in re- designing and the ongoing reconstruction of Bauchi state in line with the desire of the founding fathers of the state.
The Chairman therefore urged Governor Bala Mohammed to fulfill his promise during campaign that he will patronize the association by purchasing government vehicles from it.
