The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, Engr Chigozie Igwe has described Senator Uche Ekwunife as one of the most important options for the party ahead of the November 6 governorship election.
Engr Igwe said this on Friday, during the visit of Senator Ekwunife to the Ekwusigo PDP Headquarters in Ozubulu as part of her ongoing interaction with delegates of the party across the 21 local governments in the State.
The LGA Chairman noted that Senator Ekwunife’s track records leave no one in doubt of her capacity to deliver victory for the PDP if given the ticket, describing her as one of the most important options for the party in the election.
Engr Igwe said that as party leaders they are bound to listen and be fair to all aspirants in the race, but then they know when an aspirant speaks from the heart.
He noted that the Senator who had spoken earlier during the meeting had through her speech shown that she is knowledgeable on the task before the party ahead of the crucial election.
Engr. Igwe concluded by saying that Senator Ekwunife is one of the few aspirants who had given tips on how they intend to win the election for PDP.
Re-echoing what the Senator had said, he noted that without victory at the polls, the party cannot implement its manifesto or blueprint, no matter how beautiful it is.
