The national body of Rice Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (RIPPMAN) have inaugurated the new executive members of the association for the leadership of the association at the state, local government and ward level in Kaduna state.
Speaking at the swearing in ceremony of the Kaduna State executives in Kafanchan, The Senator representing Southern Kaduna Senatorial Zone, Danjuma Tela Laah has reiterated his commitment to augment the Federal Government’s efforts in boosting agriculture development in the country.
The Senator, who is also a BoT member of the association, assured all registered members that the disbursement of loan approved for them would commence soon, and advice them to use it for the purpose of boosting rice production and processing.
He urged the newly Inaugurated Executives to ensure that many people in all nooks and crannies of their communities benefit from the program.
The law maker also appealed to them to Involve women fully owing to the fact that some women participate very well in agriculture business.
In a remark, the National President of the Association, Alhaji Ibrahim Saleh Sarkin Arewaci thanked the Senator for his kind gesture in assuring that the association succeeds.
While commending the initiators of the program, the President urged all members to reciprocate Federal Government’s efforts in providing an enabling environment and all it takes to take the country forward in another positive level of agriculture development.
While responding, the Kaduna State Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Ruhogi revealed that the reason for establishing the association was to boost rice production in Nigeria.
Alhaji Ruhogi commended Senator Danjuma Lar Tela and the National President for their contribution in ensuring that the association was established, nurtured and uplifted to reach the level it is presently.
He said Rice farmers that cultivate half a bag, up to those that can cultivate one thousand bags can register and benefit from the program, and appealed to all members to do what it is supposed to be done geared to achieving the objectives of Federal Government and the initiators in rice production.
He then admonishes the Federal Government’s to support the Rice farmers with loans, grains and fertilizer at the right time for those that are ready to succeed in the program.
