Police, Correctional Service partner to strengthen synergy as Bauchi Attorney General expresses support non-custodial service

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) have expressed determination to continue to work together in harmony for the effective implementation of criminal Justice administration in Bauchi State.
The two security agencies made this known when the new Controller of Corrections, Bauchi State Command, CCS Kabir Abba Galadanci paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, Sylvester Abiodun Alabi. 
The NCoS Controller stated that he was in the Commissioner’s office as part of his efforts to familiarize himself with security actors in the State and to further seek for his cooperation in the fight against crime and criminality.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, Sylvester Abiodun Alabi welcomed the Controller to his office describing the NCoS as a dependable partner in the administration of criminal justice.

The Commissioner further assured the Controller of his support in the discharge of his official duties.
In a related development, the Controller of Corrections paid a visit to the Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice, Bauchi State, Barr. Yakubu Bello Kirfi in his office. 
The Controller, Kabir Abba Galadanci, said that the purpose of the visit was to introduce himself to the Commissioner and seek for his continuous support particularly in the implementation of Non-Custodial sentences in the State.
The Attorney General Commended the Controller for the timely visit and promised to give him all the necessary support and cooperation. 
He noted that the State Government is already taking necessary measures that will see to the smooth take off of Non-Custodial Service in Bauchi State, adding that cases of inmates sentenced for amputation under the Sharia law will soon be determined by the State Government.
The Commissioner then assured that Criminal justice administration will be fully implemented in the state as contained in a statement by DSC Adam Abubakar Jibrin, Command Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Correctional Service.
