Taraba Governor, Ishaku urges Kaka people to embrace peace

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has charged Kaka speaking group on the Mambilla Plateau to shun divisive tendency for the sake of unity.
The Governor gave the charge when Kaka sons and daughters paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Jalingo.
He said they stand to gain a lot when they are united challenging them to always consult their Chief when there are problems to contend with.
Governor Darius Ishaku told the Kaka speaking group that they have enjoyed from his benevolence with the creation of a chiefdom for them, four for the Mambilla speaking group and one for the the Fulanis at Nguroje.
The Governor raised alarm over the influx of refugees on the Mambilla Plateau encouraging them to accept the refugees who are faced with humanitarian crisis orchestrated by the crises from the Cameroon.
He promised to appoint more Kaka people in his rescue team and thanked them for the visit.
Earlier, spokesperson of the group Professor Oliver Nzalack said they were at the Government House to thank Governor Darius ishaku for the creation of Kaka Chiefdom, districts and approval for the appointment of district heads which has given the Kaka People a sense of identity.
He saluted the Governor for the demonstration of love for the Kaka nation by appointing many sons and daughters of the community in his cabinet and solicited for more.
The Professor appreciated Governor Darius Ishaku for providing modern spring water supply facilities in Sah Kaka headquarter of Kaka Chiefdom,construction and rehabilitation of blocks of classrooms in primary and Secondary Schools,rehabilitation of the Gembu General Hospital with state of the art facilities and resuscitation of the highland tea at Kakara which has provided employment for many Youths and others.
Professor Nzalack pleaded with the State Governor to impress on the Federal Government to complete the Serti-Gembu road, establish tertiary Institutions in Gembu and prevail on network providers to connect some communities in the area in view of insecurity.
He pledged the unalloyed support of the Kaka People to the administration of Governor Darius Ishaku.
Stakeholders from the Kaka Speaking Group who were at the function include the Paramount Ruler of Kaka Nation Kamlen Ada,Commissioner of Basic Education Joannes jigem,Professor Jacob Nyanganji, PDP Woman leader Esther Yenda and others.
