Hon. Yakubu Dogara

The former Speaker, House of Assemby, Yakubu Dogara has donated food items worth thousands of Naira to be distributed in his constituency in the holy month of Ramadan.
The Chairman of the distribution committee, Honourable Aminu Tukur, a two time member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly stated this while speaking with Bauchi State Correspondent.
Honorable Aminu Tukur said that the food items are 600 bags of Rice (50kg), 600 bags of Sorghum, 600 bags of Sugar ,Spagetthi, among others have already been distributed accordingly to the less privileged, orphans and selected mosques in the spirit of Ramadan.
Aminu Tukur called on the beneficiaries to utilize the items for the purpose it was intended and advised against selling them.
He equally said that the former Speaker had been a philanthropist all his life and has been doing the humanitarian work for over a decade.
He added that other stakehoders and trade unions would equally be served despite the fact that the items fall short of the increasing number of intended beneficiaries.
Honourable Yakubu Dogara represents Bauchi South Constituency comprising Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro and Dass in Bauchi State.
