A former Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan is dead. She was one-time Senator from Taraba North Senatorial District.
According reports available to Apex News Exclusive, Aisha , popularly called “Mama Taraba” died in a hospital in Cairo, Egypt.
She was born on 16, September 1959.
She was an aspirant for the Taraba State Governorship election for 2019 polls under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At the a Senate confirmation of ministers she stood against the candidature of Mr. Obadiah Ando from her own state of Taraba and succeeded in his non confirmation by the red chamber
According to the Facebook account of Abdul-jalil Modibbo, he wrote “Innalillahi Wainna Ilaihi Rajiun 😭 Senator Aisha Jummai (Maman Taraba) Is No More. May Allah Forgive Her Shortcomings And Grant Her Jannatul Fiddaus. Ameen 🤲.”
