Bauchi Police commissioner pays homage to emirs of Misau, Katagum, Ningi, interacts with Officers, Men of area commands

Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Sylvester Alabi has paid homage to the Emirs Katagum, Misau, and Ningi urging them to render their full support and cooperation to the Nigeria Police especially through information and intelligence sharing, in order to enable the Police perform its duties optimally in securing of lives and properties of the citizenry.
Abiodun Alabi also stressed that the Policy trust of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba is geared towards maximizing community Policing through community participation for peaceful and safer coexistence.

He therefore solicited for the cooperation of the Emirs and their District Heads to join hands with the Policemen in their respective areas through intelligence sharing and community participation in order to achieve this aim.
He also urged the Local Government Council Chairmen of the respective areas to complement the efforts of the State Government by supporting the work of the Divisional Police Officers and Area commanders in the area of logistics for quality service delivery.
While responding, the Emirs appreciated the visit by the Commissioner to their various Emirates and assured him of their maximum cooperation as they have always been giving to the Nigeria Police over the years, maintaining that the security of the State is also part of their vision.
They further urged the Commissioner to be fair while discharging his duties and to always work according to the rule of law.
In the same vein, CP Abiodun Alabi met and interacted with officers and men of the area Commands while lecturing them on effective policing and Community mobilization.
He commended the officers and men for their hard work, resilience, commitment and dedication to duty despite operating with limited resources motivating them and urged them not to relent on their oars as they continue to do more.
The CP conveyed the IGPs directive to Officers to fortify their Divisions/formation and to protect themselves and their facilities against attacks from hoodlums and criminal elements.
He then warned the Officers and men to note that the Police uniform is a symbol of Authority and to use the powers attached to it judiciously and be mindful of human rights while discharging their duties.
The CP ordered the Area Commanders and Divisional Police officers to work in synergy with other security Agencies and not to see themselves as competitors but rather as partners in progress who have criminals as their common enemy.
The visit was In continuation of the Commissioner of Police familiarization tour aimed at forging alliance and mutual co-operation and collaboration with critical stakeholders towards the safety and security of citizens, as contained in a statement by SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command.
