The Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi and his Assistant Coach Usman Abdallah and Coach Nasiru Salisu, have resigned their appointments from the club respectively.
Speaking with Apex News Exclusive in Bauchi on his resignation yesterday, the technical adviser confirmed that it was true that he resigned from the club as he submitted his letter to club chairman.
He said his reason to quit the Bauchi-based team at this point in time became necessary considering the fact that some group in the management do not want the progress of team saying all they are after is to make money out of the team.
The coach explained that at the begging of the season 2020/2021 his technical crew made a very good recruitment of 35 players which we started the leaque with in good note. After about 8 matches the team was okey. But some people in the management were not happy with the success story of team.
He further informed that it was at this point that he seek permission from the management to go and see his family in France, that after 3 weeks in France he came back and discovered that the team he build in 3 months before the leaque commence was destroyed by the retrogressive members of the board, meaning that the technical team of the club have no hand in the technical matter of the team since it has been taking over by these elements in the management.
“From the begging i use to talk about this interferences into the technical matter of the team that it is our sole responsibility, but they never listen. As the technical adviser of Wikki Tourists i never know when my players will be sacked and never know when new players joined the team only to be told that coach these are your new players.
“How can somebody who is not a coach sack or brings in players into a club like Wikki Tourists which is the symbol of the state and yet nobody can talk to them and you expect that the coach should perform miracle with the bad players injected into the team by some business men in the management who negociate deals with managers of players sign bad players and collect their percentage without considering the interest of the state one of such persons is the coordinator of the team who is in the team to make money what did he know in football no motivation to the team and we want good result how? ” he asked.
Coach Abdallah, said though he enjoyed good working relationship with the club chairman Balarabe Doglas describing him as a good person and very energetic and had stood strongly behind him to make his stay comfortable in Bauchi, but unfortunately those he strusted in the team capitalized in some of his defficiancies which include lacks of football knowledge, football experience, football administration and orientation to sabotage and frustrate his effort to justify the confidence repose on him by governor Bala Mohammed who is so helpful and committed to the team.
He said what Wikki management, club supporters and fans of the state darling team need is proper education and orientation of what modern football is all about in the interest of the state not those who used the team to make personal gains as is happing today in Wikki.
“Wikki is not about me coach, is not about the Chairman Balarabe Douglas, is not about the management and is not about anybody in the state but about Bauchi state because Bauchi state is ahead is bigger than whoever, therefore the interest of everyone should be the progress of Bauchi state in all aspect.
Wikki Tourists connot excellence in the historical development of Football in Nigeria therefore the name Wikki Tourists fc is a symbol of Bauchi State with credible and highly respected FIFA recognized football stakeholders in the World in persons of Alh. Sani Ahmad Toro and Alh. Aminu Maigari”.
While thanking Governor Bala Mohammed and ofcourse Bauchi state government for the love, support and interest in him during his stay as technical adviser of the state darling team further appreciate his royal highness the Emire of Bauchi Dr Rilwan Sulaiman Adamu for his prayer and fatherly advise, the icons of football in Nigeria Alh. Aminu Maigari and Alh. Sani Ahmed Toro are too wonderful that made my life comfortable in Bauchi and in my professional career.
