The Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Comrade Sabo Muhammad has condemned actions of opposition parties in Nigeria politicizing every bit of national disaster for political gains.
He said the government is doing all it could to see insecurity and other forms of criminalities are quickly resolved but opposition especially the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are using it to woo support.
Comrade Muhammad made the remarks in an interview with Apex News Exclusive in Bauchi.
He pointed out though Nigeria is faced with many calamities, the federal government was doing its best to checkmate the issues.
Comrade Muhammad who was also Director, Media and Publicity of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Bauchi State, noted that Nigerians are very clever people who can see beyond their nose and have realized the APC is on track and working hard to overcome these problems.
Besides, he explained that there are internal and external conspiracies to sabotage the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to the effect that they are strategizing for 2023 which he described as the height of unpatriotism, wrong and ungodly.
According to him, some selfish, egocentric youths and so-called activists are working for their masters to destabilize the country to perfect their agenda for 2023.
He explained that insecurity has lingered since the PDP regime of President Goodluck Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC have done a very good job to stem it.
He said if not for problems associated with outcome of COVID-19 incident government was working towards creating more jobs, settling farmers-herders feud, tribal and communal clashes across the country.
Speaking on the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Comrade Muhammad said he has fulfilled his campaign promises.
“He promised to settle all backlog of salaries and promised to the civil servants of the state not to indulge in verification but now it is a regime of verification at different levels. He promised to off-set all the back-log of Leave Grants. Promised to recruit youths into the civil service but what we are witnessing is retrenchment through the backdoor,” he stressed.
He, however, praised the Governor on road construction as projects are ongoing in the state capital and other parts of the state.
