Gombe secretary to government challenges students to be entrepreneurship-minded than paper qualification for self-reliance

Students of Higher institutions of learning across the country have been challenged to as a matter of fact engage in entrepreneurship ventures alongside their academic activities in order to guarantee employment after School rather than waiting for white-collar job that will hardly come.
The challenge was thrown to the students by the Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi when he granted audience to the National Executive Members of Kaltungo and Shongom Students (NUKALGOS) who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House on Thursday. 
The SSG noted that Paper qualifications are needed for employment and other purposes but self reliance through entrepreneurship remains the best in Present day economics of the world.
He also said that it is for this reason that the State Government in addition to providing educational infrastructure is working assiduously towards improving vocational and skills acquisition training for both in and out of School Youths to guarantee  them opportunity of marking decent living.
While appreciating the Students body for the visit, Ibrahim Njodi assured them that Government prioritizing of Education is meant to prepare them for future challenges urging them to remain resolute and Committed to their studies.
Ibrahim Njodi further explained that the Inuwa Yahaya led administration is not unmindful of the likes of cries of poverty  among the People hence its commitment to the provision of infrastructure which he said are catalyst  for economic development and prosperity of the State.
The SSG also appreciated the leadership of NUKALGOS for Conferring on him the tittle of “SHELLE MANA” the ‘Home Eagle’ of Kaltungo and Shongom in recognition of his contribution to the development of education, unity and growth of Kaltungo and Shongom Local Government areas.
He therefore encouraged them to maintain the laudable objectives and activities of the Union which involves JAMB tutorials, Public enlightenment and Community Services all geared towards improving the lots of the People.
The National President of NUKALGOS, Comrade Samson Peri earlier in an address appreciated the opportunity granted them to Visit the SSG which he described as a rare opportunity for Students like them.
Comrade Samson Peri who enumerated the qualities, support and encouragement that Professor Ibrahim Njodi provide for Students of Gombe State and Gombe South in particular, said that these and many more informed the Union’s decision to honour him with an award of excellence and a tittle of SHELLE MANA meaning the ‘Home Eagle’ of Kaltungo and Shongom.
The Students leader also intimated the SSG of the noble programmes of the Union to include JAMB tutorials, Public lecture and Personal Hygiene, Civil rights and Obligations of individuals and groups.
Comrade Peri then solicited the support of the State Government towards achieving these lefty ideals which he said were aimed at improving on the wellbeing of the beneficiaries.
He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the payment of students Scholarship, educational transformation and other infrastructural developments across the State as contained in a statement by Joshua Danmalam Information Officer SSG’S office.
