Late Shehu Goro
The sad news of death of a veteran Photo Journalist and former Staff of Daily Trust Newspapers , Mal Shehu Goro came to the Council as a rude shock .
Shocking because ,Shehu Goro actively covered the visit of Kaduna Speaker, who was at the Council just yesterday to condole members over the loss of Mal. Suleiman Yakubu, Chairman of Freedom Radio Chapel.
This was contained in a statement by Adamu Yusuf, Kaduna NUJ Council Chairman, who said, though aged, late Shehu Goro, who died early hours of today (Friday) was known for his agility and ability to work under pressure, little wonder he worked with reputable mediums such as Today Newspapers and Daily Trust Newspapers respectively and retired happily.
However, his passion for journalism didn’t leave him so ,he later joined People’s Daily Newspapers ,where worked until sudden death
NUJ Council has buried two veterans within 48 hours ,but we take solace in the spiritual understanding that the God that giveth life can take it at any time without notice.
May God grant his children and members of his family the heart the bear the irreparable loss .
He was today buried according to Islamic rite .
