Senator Ekwunife congratulates Archbishop Okeke on 40th priestly anniversary

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife has congratulated the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke on the occasion of his 40th priestly anniversary.
Archbishop Okeke, who is a native of Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area, was ordained to the priesthood on 11th July 1981 by Francis Cardinal Arinze, who was then the Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese.

In her congratulatory message, Senator Ekwunife described Archbishop Okeke as an exemplary shepherd whose pastoral duties in his 40 years in God’s vineyard has been an inspiring and amazing adventure of love and sacrifices. 
She commended the metropolitan on his tremendous contributions towards the growth of the church and the society.
Continuing, Senator Ekwunife enjoined both the clerics and lay Christian faithful to continue to pray for the Archbishop for continuous renewal of his priestly anointing, and to shower blessings and virtues to the celebrant as he continues in his work of leading aright the flock entrusted to him by God.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District extended congratulations to the Archbishop and the entire Archdiocese of Onitsha. 
“May God grant you good health and spiritual strength to fight the good fight of faith”, she concluded.
