Worried by the indiscriminate proliferation of NCE-awarding institutions in the state, Bauchi State Government has revoked with immediate effect the licenses approved of all private National Certificate of Education (NCE) awarding institutions across state.
The development is part of effort of the government to check incessant proliferation of the NCE awarding institutions in the state which has reached an alarming proportion. A statement signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Sule Adamu Madara contained that the decision taken was to ensure provision of qualitative education to the teeming citizens yearning for such.
The statement however contained that any interested institution wishing to continue operation should reapply through the state Ministry of Education which will ensure that all requirements were met.
According to the statement, any affected institution that failed to abide by the directive would be sanctioned in accordance with the law regulating operations of such institutions in the state.
