Udu Division of Delta Civil Defence Corps prevents protest after train crushed two ladies

The train station prevented from attack by Udu Division of NSCDC

The Nigeria Railway Corporations route of Itakpe-Ujevwu morning train from Itakpe enroute Ujevwu in Udu Local Government of Delta State reported its first ever human casualty Thursday.
Apex News Exclusive gathered that the train while almost at its destination encountered recalcitrant marauders on its track and the unfortunate happened involving two young girls at Orhuwhorun community of Udu LGA.
They were both crushed to death while the community turned to usual protest and unrest.
Delta State Commandant of Corps, Abiodun Iskilu immediately directed the Divisional Officer of Udu Division of the Corps to immediately mobilise his men and standby armed squad of the division to forestall peace and ensure protection of the Critical National Assets of Government at the Ujevwu terminal.
The Divisional Officer, Superintendent Ayodele Steven and his men swung into action, mobilised and ensure that the train terminal at Ujevwu does not fall under any surprise attack from angry youths who may want to attack the terminal because of the unfortunate incident.
As at the time of this report, the train has been delayed from its scheduled take off from Ujevwu back to Itakpe while security agencies are trying the best to ensure that normalcy returns to the affected community also ensuring that the train service and it’s passengers does not come under any attack while in transit expecialy in the affected areas and nearby Communities.
