Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State

Three months after sacking his cabinet, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has sent names of new commissioners including 7 former commissioners to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The letter of the nomination was transmitted to the Assembly by the Governor on Tuesday and was read during plenary by the Speaker, Abubakar Y Suleiman.
The letter reads, “The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad has requested the Bauchi State House of Assembly to screen and confirm the following Commissioner nominees” :
They include: Alkaleri LGA: Abdulkadir Ibrahim; Bauchi LGA has two nominees: Garba Dahiru and Nuruddeen Abdulhamid; Dambam: Ahmed Aliyu Jalam; Darazo: Dayyabu Chiroma and Dass: Maryam Garba Bagel.
Others are: Gamawa: Umar Babayo Kesa; Giade: Asma’u Ahmed; Jama’are: Usman Abdulkadir Middibo; Itas – Gadau: Hajara Jibrin Gidado and Katagum: Sama’ila Dahuwa Kaila
The nominees also include; Misau: Aminu Hammayo; Shira: Hamisu Muazu Shira; Tafawa Balewa LGA also has two nominees: Sama’ila Burga and Abubakar Abdulhamid Bununu; Toro: Aliyu Usman Tilde and Warji: Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki.
It is expected that the nominees will be screened and confirmed by the Assembly considering the fact that the Executive has being functioning without a Council in the last 3 months.
