Gombe NYSC Coordinator calls on prospective Corps Members on fostering national unity

Prospective Corps members in Gombe State have been called upon to be good Ambassadors of their respective families and Institutions of learning by fostering National Unity and integration while on national assignment.
The call was made by the Gombe State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Imoni while briefing members of the 2021 Batch B Stream II Prospective Corps members deployed to.Gombe State at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp in Amada Akko LGA of ,Gombe State.
While taking Prospective Corps members through the cardinal Programmes of the Scheme which are Orientation course, Primary assignment, Community Development Service and winding up /passing out., Mrs Imoni , said that one of the objectives of the National Youth Service Corps was fostering of national unity and integration, as such all hands must be on deck to build Nigeria by taking it to enviable heights.
On discipline and adherence to camp rules and regulations,the State Coordinator admonished them not to abuse the social media platforms by posting their grievances.
She declared that, ” We have channels of Communication on camp, you are advised to follow such channels where you need clarification instead of posting them on social media” .
“On no accord should you also speak to the press on any matter relating to the NYSC Scheme, as anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance to the provisions of the NYSC Act and By-laws”, she warned.
On relocation, Mrs Imoni, said that Corps members would be relocated out Gombe state on two grounds; Marital and health with evidence to buttress their claims .
She then appealed to the Corps members not to lie about ailments for the sake of relocation as those with serious or genuine ailments would be given relocation letters to where they can easily access medical attention.
