UNN, honours Prof. Njodi with distinguish Alumnus award, as Pate, Shugaba others attend

The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) on Saturday conferred on the Secretary to  Gombe State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi the distinguished Alumnus Award of the premier Institution.
The presentation was held at a Colourful Dinner and Award Night to honour the SSG jointly organized by UNN in Collaboration with the University of Maiduguri where he was the former Vice Chancellor.
Presenting the Alumnus Award, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Professor Charles Arizechukwu Igwe said that Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi is one of the finest Alumnus the institution had produced describing him as an epitome of humanity, hard work and dedication in all facets of human endeavour.

He noted with pride that UNN has produced such a personality, an ambassador of the University expressing confidence that the recognition would strengthen him do more in providing services to the nation and humanity in general. 
In a remark,, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, and the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Kashere, Professor Umar Alhaji Pate eulogized Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi for the excellent services he rendered while he was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri noting that his indelible mark will never be forgotten.
Responding, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi and recipient of the Distinguished UNN Alumnus award appreciated the institution for the recognition bestowed on him, assuring the University that he will remain a loyal and dependable ambassador of the institution.
He said the award is a morale booster which would spore him to do more towards contributing to development of Education at both level. He however dedicate the award to God, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the good people of Gombe whose support and encouragement are immeasurable.
The event witnessed by Family Members, well wishers was attended by the University Community of both the UNN and  Unimaid amidst  encomiums on the  man of the moment Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
Highlights of the event was the presentation of the UNN Distinguished Alumnus Award and the presentation of Two books by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri in honour of the former Vice Chancellor as contained in a statement by Joshua DanmalamInformation officer SSG’S Office.
