Nigeria anti-graft agency frowns at Adamawa project violations

Following the recent project track inspection in Adamawa State, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Commission (ICPC) has frowned on violation of some projects carried out in state.
The anti-graft agency’s Information Department from Abuja and the second-in-command in Adamawa State, Mr. Nuhu Gabriel disclosed this in Yola, during visits to project sites.
They expressed displeasure over the way some contractors are misusing federal government funds indiscriminately.
According to them, contractors handling the Bekaji housing estate road project should immediately return to site over the poor performance of two kilometers road which was abandoned.
Also, the diversion of primary health care which was to be constructed at Runde Baru in Jambutu, Yola North Local Government, but directed to unknown destination and misleading the Government with picture of Adamawa state project.
He noted that the exercise which was carried out by ICPC in collaboration with Quantity surveyors, NGOs and the media at the Central Senatorial District and  Yola South, Yola North and Girei local government areas is yielding fruitful results.
The team visited Federal Government Girls’ College, (FGGC), Yola, Runde Baru, Federal College of Education, Yola, Nigerian Air force Nursery/Primary School.
