Jema’a local government area overseer wants bond between communities

The Overseer, Jema’a local government area, Mallam Ibrahim Dayibu Abdullahi has appealed to Non-Governmental and Socio-Cultural Organisations in Southern Kaduna to invest their energy more on rebuilding bridges of inter communal relations.

He also called for strengthening the bond of unity among the diverse people of the area to warrant a conducive climate for productive economic ventures to thrive in the zone.

Mallam Dayibu Abdullahi made the appeal when the leadership of Arewa Consultative and Synergy Congress (ACSC) Jema’a local government chapter paid him a familiarisation visit in his office.

The Overseer lamented the recurring evil activities of kidnappers and bandits in parts of the state and nation at large which he said has resulted to the destruction of innocent lives and property and assured that government was doing its best to end the menace soon.

He maintained that the tasks before the Congress are enormous and very crucial in view of the prevailing realities in the north and advised them to remain focus and committed as they struggle for a better northern Nigeria.

Mallam Dayibu Abdullahi commended ACSC for their foresight which he described as timely and assured them of the local government support to successful implement their activities.

Earlier in his address, the branch chairman, Arewa Consultative and Synergy Congress, Jema’a local government, Comrade Lawal Yunusa explained they were in the Overseer’s office to inform him of the existence of the Congress in local government and to discuss areas of possible collaboration for the general good of the people in the area.

Comrade Lawal said ACSC with branches in all the 19 northern states including the Federal Capital Abuja was established in 2014 with the objectives to unite and improve the social and economic prosperity of the youths in northern Nigeria through sensitization and skill acquisition training activities for self employment and economic independence among others.

He therefore requested the local government to support their activities which he said were meant to better the wellbeing of the poor and vulnerable especially in the rural areas.

Comrade Lawal used the occasion to congratulate Mallam Dayibu Abdullahi for his deserved appointment as Overseer jema’a Local Government and assured him of their good will and continuous prayers to enable him succeed.
