Beautiful Igbo children leads their Thanksgiving
By Anthony Maliki
The bests of various Nigerian traditions were on display as St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mbuko of Bwari Local Government Area in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), celebrated its maiden cultural day on Sunday.
Coming about two months since becoming a parish in the Abuja Archdiocese, it was an impressive presentation by the ethnic groups in the Church.

At the Mass in the premises of the Church celebrated by the Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Chuhwak Hilary Gyang, the major groups were classified under canopies clad in their splendid attires.

Besides, major segments of the Mass were rendered in indigenous languages especially the Prayer of the faithful including Igbo, Hausa, Ibibio, Ngas, Gbagbi, Yoruba, Idoma and Tiv.
The Cultural Day is a build-up to the first Harvest Thanksgiving of the Church as a parish to hold on November 7, 2021.
