Nasarawa varsity matriculates 6, 323 students at 19th intake, as matriculants express gratitude

It is admission for the 2020/2021 session. The Nasarawa State University, Keffi, (NSUK), has made it for the 19th times, bringing into its fold a most cosmopolitan admission within the region, with students admitted spread across many states of the country and beyond. A total of 6,323 students spread across the eight faculties.
Topping the list is the faculties of Natural and Applied Science and that of Social Sciences with 1,825 and 1,273 respectively.
The trail brazing institution adjudged as the most peaceful in the country is founded on strict regulations, due procedures, rule of law, and will not waver a bit in maintaining the remarkable standard.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, who is the chairman of 2021 matriculation ceremony echoed this to the matriculants at Convocation Ground, venue of the matriculation.
He said, the university functions in tandem with global best practices in education to produce students found in learning and character, adding that such is the expectation from every student to excel not only in learning but in character.
While congratulating the matriculants, Prof. Mohammed charged the students to abide strictly to the rules ,regulations and norms guiding their stay on campus.
He said” The university regulations relates to your conduct in the hostel, classrooms and the general university environment, with other on the do’s and don’ts and corresponding deviants.
“These regulations are clearly captured in the university handbook, faculty handbook and departmental handbook. Students are to desist from all vices, especially indiscipline, cultism,and indecent dressing”.
The Convocation Ground and the entire university environment was filled with celebration. Apex News Exclusive sampled opinions of newly admitted students. Many who spoke to this medium said they are elated to part of the university that they long cherish due her titivating records in the education sector in Nigeria.
“I am from Kogi State, and did not know anybody here. I didn’t have anyone to pursue it for me. I applied because I have heard so much about NSUK. It is a university of my dream. And finally, I am happy to be here. The facilities are inspiring. I optimistic that here, i will realize my dreams of becoming a world class economist. Said one of the newly admitted students in the department of economics, who did want her name on record.
