Borno Governor, Zulum gives one month salary bonus to civilian JTF, hunters, cleaners, others

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has approved a one month Salary  bonus for all members of the Civilian JTF, hunters, vigilantes, Environmental Vanguard and confer cleaners working in government offices  for their sacrifices and dedication to duty in the sprit of End of year and New year celebrations. 

Addressing the leaderships of the CJTF, hunters, vigilantes, environmental vanguard and confer at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House, Maiduguri, Governor Babagana Zulum said ” on behalf of the government and the people of the state, I want to thank you for your sacrifices  not only in keeping Maiduguri and its environment safe and clean, but other towns and village’s across the state”.

“Whenever I come out around 1:00 am , I see members of the CJTF, hunters and vigilantes, patrolling our streets and mounting checkpoints just to ensure that we sleep with our eyes closed. So also as early as 6:00 am I see members of the environmental vanguard and confer with their brooms sweeping the roads streets and offices. I want to use  this opportunity to thank you for what you have been doing”, he added.

He said ” we cannot thank you enough for what you are doing. It is only God that can reward you, but as parts of our appreciation, every one of you is getting extra one minth salary. If you are receiving N20,000 or N50,000 monthly, you are going home with N40,000 to N100,000 this month and a bag of rice each.”

” In addition to this, I have been promising you that we going to give scholarship to the orphans of  the  deceased CJTF, vigilantes and hunters, I want to inform you that by January, 2022, we are going send 150 orphans of our gallant CJTF, hunters and vigilantee to school outside, the state, ” Zulum further stated.

Earlier, the Borno state Attorney and   commissioner for justice, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan  said “this morning around 8:00am, I received a call from the Executive Governor that he wants to see you. I don’t want to preempt his address to you this morning.”

Banister Kaka Shehu who is also the overseeing commissioner for Environment said “Your Excellency,  here before you, are 230 leadership of CJTF, 60 hunters, and vigilantes, 100 environmental vanguard and 30 members of  confer who are working under the state government”.
