National Coordinator of Disciples Of Jagaba (DOJ), Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje has advised some elders of Yoruba land who are against the presidential aspiration of Sen Ahmed Bola Tinubu to stop their campaign of calumny saying that they can not command the force that can stop the aspiration towards 2023.
The National Coordinator in an interview with our correspondent vide phone on Friday after a meeting held in preparation for a special event involving all the southern states of the federation  said that, “as long as the so-called Nigerian factor, advanced age and positions previously held do not add any extra or additional value to one’s voting right, the most privileged amongst us should always exercise caution in their utterances and public conducts”.
According to him, “it is one man, one vote. As a result,  there is no need we start worrying ourselves on their stand against our principal. The voting right they are very proud to have as political heavyweights is the same and equal to the one enjoyed by the beggars in the streets and under the bridges”.
He said that, “It is unfortunate for those so-called story-tellers, who want to tell us where our principal came from, but fail to tell Nigerians where their own forefathers were bought from as slaves during the time of slave-trade; if we decide to start counting the real children of Yoruba land, there would definitely be serious sorrow for all the adopted slaves in Yoruba land”.
He said that, “This is a small response to Chief Olabode George. Yoruba land starts from Ile-Ife, to the rest of Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, and some parts of Kogi, Kwara and Edo States up to Benin republic, very unfortunate, Bola Tinubu who works in Mobil for years before he voluntarily resigned, you are now challenging him about his qualification, anyway that is bitter part of politics”.
The DOJ National Coordinator added that, “We are all known as Oodua children, and all these lands are Oodua land, where any of Oodua children can settle as the bonafide child of their father (Oodua). The only people that we can challenge on any part of our land are those who their forefathers were bought from other parts of West Africa (or from somewhere else) and were dumped at Ijora Olopa (or elsewhere) at the end of slave-trade”.
Abdulhakeem Alawuje stressed that, “It is very unfortunate that these acclaimed story-tellers carefully avoided telling us how their forefathers were brought with padlock in their mouths as slaves from Sierra Leone to Lagos in the early 19th century”.
He said that, “Your old age is not an audacity to be concocting a history that you know nothing about. Tinubu is one of the real children of Oodua who established Lagos which is one of Oodua land; if at all you will say the truth to Nigerians, tell the public the correct origin of your own forefathers.
“It is so unfortunate that the evil perpetrated by the so-called bigwigs now tells so much on the Nigerian youths, who are globally adjudged as more intelligent, compared to the peers elsewhere, have become drug addicts and kingpins in kidnapping, cybercrimes, money ritualists, street urchins and sex-hawkers”, he lamented.
According to him, “Many have even been lured into drug trafficking, banditry and terrorism. Only divine intervention can save our ‘leaders of tomorrow’ from the dangers that lie ahead.
“Disciples of Jagaban are calling on all Nigerian masses; youths and women alike,  to join hands together with us to squarely face those evil perpetrators, parading themselves as opinion leaders and “advocates of the Nigerian people” and render them irrelevant in our polity, especially now that 2023 is fast approaching. Let’s say no to their age long manipulations”, he added.
He stressed that, “Now is the time for us, we the Nigerian masses, to choose who leads us by ourselves. And by the special grace of God, DOJ would not squander the hard-earned trust and confidence reposed in us.
“The focus now is on individual capacity, prerequisite experiences and previous performance achievements in leadership positions previously held. Without mincing words ,all these attributes are gracefully found in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And by the special grace of God, he is the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, Abdulhakeem Alawuje concluded.
