Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District, Gershom Bassey has said that he has the magic that will ensure that PDP which has never lost election in the state takes back power from APC.
Bassey who has recently declared to vie for the office of the governor in the state in 2023, said he as a foundation member of the party has the magic wand.
He stated this when he spoke with party stakeholders and supporters in Calabar yesterday.
“We have never lost governorship elections in Cross River State. And we will definitely win the next governorship election as usual.
“In terms of capacity, nobody running for governorship in this state has my capacity and experience. No aspirant yet has the amount the wealth of experience that I have.
“If you are doubting me I want you people to organize a debate for all the aspirants.
According to him, he is head and shoulders over other aspirants who also jostle for the governorship.
However, he said he will not underrate the aspirations of other aspirants.
Bassey said he will do everything within his capacity to ensure that the party wins the election.
“If I am given opportunity to lead the people, I will transform the state into an industrial hub.”
State party chairman, Barr. Venatus Ikem, said that the party will provide level playing ground to all the gladiators jostling for the governorship ticket.
He however charged them to play by the rules.
