Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser, Kabiru Dogo

The Technical Adviser of Bauchi State Government owned WIkki Tourists FC, Kabiru Dogo has ascribed the lost of his side’s match against table toppers, Remo Stars FC by 1-2 home lost on match day 6 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League 2021/22 season to ill luck.
Kabiru Dogo who was reacting while speaking with sports writers immediately after the game played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) on Sunday, said that his boys played well but the day was not just theirs.
According to the Technical Adviser, “My boys played good football with all that it takes to have a win but ill luck became a barrier to victory” .
He added that, “We have one of the best teams in the league and sometimes it happens like that, but we will not be discouraged, we will work on our faults and bounce back in the next game”.

While appealing for patience and understanding from the teeming supporters of club for the disappointment, the Wikki Tourists FC gaffer reiterated the need for more commitments and prayers from all.
He also commended the state government, Chairman and Management of the Club for their support and understanding assuring that positive results are ahead shortly.
The game on Sunday saw Wikki Tourists players missing many scoring chances right from the blast of the whistle and seven minutes into the game Remo Stars registered their first goal in a solo effort.
WIkki Tourists boys fought back with all their hearts but could not get an equaliser ending the first half on 1-0 advantage Remo Stars.
On resumption of the second half, both teams made changes in an effort to level or solidify the lead.
WIkki Tourists problem was compounded when in the 63′ Remo Stars scored their second goal.
Salisu Adamu’s 75′ consolation goal for Wikki Tourists revived the hope of the team and more pressure was mounted on the visitors which paid off in the 88′ when WIkki Tourists got a penalty but Saleh Ibrahim’s kick hit the wood work.
The game ended 1-2 as the Remo Stars maintained their lead on the tableWith 14points after 6 games,while Wikki Tourists dropped to the 15 position with 6 points after 5 games.
WIkki Tourists will be away to Dakkada fc for a mid week cracker on Wednesday 19/1/2022.
