100 days in office: My achievements credited to Governor Sule, says Keffi council chair, Hon. Baba Shehu

Hon. Baba Shehu, the amiable Keffi local government chairman, acknowledges cheers at the occasion

The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Baba Shehu has credited his achievements in his first 100 days in office to the ideals and conducive atmosphere provided by the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
He made the remarks at a formal celebration in Keffi on Thursday. The elected local government chairmen in Nasarawa State were sworn-in on October 8, 2021.
“The laudable achievements became manifest as a result of the benevolence of Governor Abdullahi Sule in addition to making the atmosphere conducive and possible to complement and key into his development strides,” he said.
He also attributed his successes to the Keffi community for their prayers and the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Shehu Chindo Yamusa III for his fatherly role and guidance which has helped in the course of piloting the affairs of the local government.

The chairman pointed out that he enjoyed the synergy with the Keffi Local Government Legislative arm in line with the separation of power and commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their inputs, guidance and direction to achieve the blueprint of making Keffi a better place for all and sundry.
According to the achievements are even just a tip of the iceberg as his administration intends to do more this year.
Alhaji Baba Shehu assured that 2022 would be a year of growth having signed the budget of N2.8billion and intend to undertake many projects to include among others establishing primary health centres at Goriya, Iya I and Angwan Lambu, rehabilitation of Keffi main abattoir and establishment of a truck terminal.
Others are provision of N500, 000 as scholarship to assist the less-privileged, N500, 000 for women empowerment and enforcement of operation keep Keffi clean.

Among projects commissioned for the 100 days in office included ten boreholes across ten electoral wards, 10, 000 exercise books for pupils in public schools, teachers lesson note books, lesson plan, pupils’ attendance registrar and ten cartons of chalk, power generator sets and 200 sets of classroom desks for pupils of public schools.
The chairman also said land was provided at Yelwa I Primary School for Federal Government Primary Healthcare Intervention project now 80 per cent completion, renovation and furnishing of chairman’s office complex, rehabilitation of some boreholes within Keffi, provision of four motorcycles to some security agencies and two NYSC doctors manning health clinics on special request.
