Hon. Yakubu Dogara suspended as Jakadan Bauchi

The Bauch Emirate Council has suspended the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara as Jakadan Bauchi.
The Galadiman Bauchi who is also the District Head of Zungur, Surveryor Ibrahim Saidu Jahun, made the announcement during a press briefing in Bauchi Monday.
He said the suspension is sequel to accidences of attacks during an event in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa on the 30 and 31 December, 2021.
Dogara was alleged to be involved in the December 2021 attack on the Emirs of Bauchi and Dass while on their way to Bogoro for the 21st memorial anniversary of late Baba Gonto, a prominent figure in the area.
The emirate council described the incident as barbaric, provocative, misleading and unfortunate and called on the state government to investigate, fish-out the perpetrators and bring them to book.
Emirate council said “At the recent council meeting, we reviewed the case again and expressed our dismay on one of the sons of the area, a stakeholder and our traditional title holder who was mentioned as one misleading the people and perpetrating the incidence. More surprisingly he did not sympathise or show any sign of remorse towards what happened to their Roral Highnesses, the Emirs of Bauchi and Dass”.
