The crowd at the funeral service for the late Mwaghavul monarch

The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong has described the late Mishkagham Mwaghavul, Da Nelson Bakfur as a man of peace.
He said this during the funeral service of the late Mwaghavul paramont ruler which took place at the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, in Kerang district of Mangu LGA of the state.
Barr. Lalong who was accompanied to the funeral by his wife, Regina and Speaker of the state House of Assembly; Yakubu Sanda poured enconium in the deceased royal father whom, they said lived a life worthy of emulation.
Lalong said, ” he was always there for the government and the people of the state at the most difficult times, and i Pray God will fend for his immediate family”
According to him, the late Bakfur was passionate about education and had Supported government in ensuring stability and brought about peaceful coexisting in Mwaghavul land and the state in general.
He then used the occasion to task the traditional Council in the LGA to ensure a smooth transition in filling the vacuum that has been created, while assuring of a continuous relationship with the traditional Council across the state.
On security, he reminded the traditional institution to note that security is everyone business, urging them to work towards identifying the bad eggs within and without and to track them to face justice.
Also commenting, a governorship aspirant and a son of Kerang district where the late royal father hails, Mr. Kizito Dankat Gukas said the demise of the late Bakfur has created a big vacuum that will not be easily filled.
He said Bakfur was a leading light in the immidaite community and as a manager of the people, he was able to give direction to the people through good counselling.
Mr. Gukas who is flying his flag with the All Progressives Congress, (APC), prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased royal father and God to comfort his immediate family and the Mwaghavul nation as a whole.
