The authority of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe state command has debunked a recent media reports that was published online alleging that the officials of the command have extorted funds from junior officers without due process.
Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe state command DSC Sa’ad Buhari stated this while reacting on the matter.
He said the allegations meted on the officials of the command was meant to ridicule the image of the command.
DSC Buhari further revealed that the command had never extort any funds from personnel’s as reported.
According to him, junior officers of the command lodged a complaint which was published online that the officials of the command extorted N200 meant for emolument form and N2000 meant for promotion letters from them which according to him was not true.
I called on the public and concern authorities to disregard such information as the report is baseless.
The command is looking forward to protect lives and property of citizens he said.
