Gun wielding men have reportedly invaded Ekwulobia town in Aguata LGA of Anambra State Tuesday morning.
An eyewitness told our correspondent that it was not yet clear if the men are armed robbers, cultists or bandits operating in the guise of unknown gunmen as they have come to be known.
The source said an unidentified official of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency (ATMA), a male, who was controlling traffic at the ever busy Ekwulobia junction was gunned down, with bullet shattering his brain from behind.
As the time of filing this report, the corpse of the ATMA Official is said to be lying at the junction inna pool of blood.
The State Police Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga could not be immediately reached for comments.
