The Youth Lobby Group of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has said that they will massively mobilise youths in the 196 wards to be involved in the 2023 elections.
To prepare themselves, they have planned to stage a mega summit in Calabar by the weekend.
Chairman of the group, Oden Ewa said:
“The summit is planned for the youths also by the youths. we intend to make a strong statement ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“We will come together and show the world that we are leaders in our own right, are a formidable force and we are ready to put our best forward”, he said.
Ewa said the lobby group will knock on doors in all the wards of the state and mobilise their kinds.
He said they are expecting greater numbers of youths to stand elections and also vote for themselves to administer the state.
He added that the youths also want to use the summit to express appreciation to the state governor for appointing youths into political offices and also giving them the opportunity to manage the state.
Also speaking, Effiom Effiwatt, a member of the group, said it’s a bold attempt by the youths to show case themselves.
