Bauchi’s Bogoro Council boss promises collaboration, synergy with new STF Commander

The Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Hon. Iliya Habila has promised to work and collaborate with the newly posted Special Task Force (STF) Commander to the area, Major KC Ogbonna in terms of security of lives and properties.
Iliya Habila also stressed that peace and peace building are very necessary in ensuring mutual co-existence, self-actualization and development in the area.
The Council Chairman stated this on Monday when the newly posted STF Commander to Tafawa Balewa paid him a familiarization visit in his Council office in Bogoro.
While receiving the STF Commander, Iliya Habila said that, “the attainment of the progress of any nation or community is largely dependent on the harmonious relationship existing between people of different backgrounds irrespective of ethno-religious and political differences”.
He added that, “I want to remind you that there’s no way people or nation can progress economically or otherwise without peace.”
He further said that Bogoro is the most peaceful local government in Bauchi State and pledged to support the Commander on sustainability of peace and peace building so that development can be made.
In his remarks earlier, the STF Commander, Major Ogbonna said that he was posted to the area to contribute in sustainence of peace and to seek for more cooperation from all stake holders in the area in order to succeed.
Major Ogbonna pledged to respond to anything on security within five minutes in order to address it and urged the community to help them with any useful information that will help them to maintain the security of lives and properties in the area.
In a vote of thanks, the Village Head of Bogoro, Mr Nuhu Tafida assured the newly posted Commander and the council Chairman that traditional rulers and community leaders in the area will work in synergy with them to achieve sustainable peace as contained in a statement by Gomna JamesInformation Officer, Bogoro LGA.
