Nasarawa declares Thursday work-free for Presidential State visit, CBN branch, Karu Mega Bus Terminal, others to be commissioned

Nasarawa State Government has declared Thursday February 24, 2022 a work-free day following the official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari is schedule to pay a two-day working visit to Nasarawa State where he is expected to commission three Federal Government projects that includes the CBN branch, Akurba 3.30KVA electricity substation and federal secretariat all in Lafia, the state capital.

The Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Barrister Aliyu Ubandoma on behalf of the government urged all residents of the state to come out enmass and give President Buhari a rousing welcome as he arrives the state capital.
In a related development, Barrister Labaran Shuiabu Magaji, a Senate aspirant vying to represent Nasarawa West Senatorial District in 2023 has thrown his weight in support of the Nasarawa State government-led administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, to warmly welcome the President, who will apart from commissioning federal projects in the state, will commission other projects executed by the state government, especially the Karu Mega Bus Terminal and Keffi Neighbourhood Market and Keffi Square.
Also to welcome the President, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu, Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, said that the visit of the President would strengthen relationship between the state and the federal government, by encouraging federal government paratastals in Nasarawa State.
The Medical Director lauded Governor Sule for working hard in less than three years which has attracted the visit of the President into the state and particularly Keffi local government, where the federal medical center is situated to commission projects of economic and human development created by the administration of Engineer Sule.
Also, the Keffi local government council boss, Honourable Mohammed Baba Shehu, said measures have been put in place in support of the state government for a befitting visit of the President, the state governor and members of the entourage.
The council chairman further said the good people of Keffi anxiously and with joy awaits the visit of the President on Friday to perform what has became so dear to them since the flag off of the project by the executive governor of the state.
“We assure the President and our amiable governor of our unflinching support and love for our great party the APC. Mr President visit to Keffi will remain indelible in our hearts,” Baba Shehu said.
