Taraba ‘home-based’ APC stakeholders, contestants want caretaker committee for state

Forum of Home-based All Progressives Congress, APC stakeholders and contestants in Taraba State has called on national secretariat to constitute caretaker committee for the party in the state.
Secretary of the Forum, Sani Abdullahi Talla stated this during briefing to newsmen in Jalingo.
Sani Abdullahi Talla said following the Federal High court judgement nullifying the purported election of state officials of the APC in Taraba, ordering conduct of fresh election to fill in the vacuum there is need for APC national secretariat to constitute Caretaker committee to run the affairs of the party as efforts are at top gear for the conduct of the APC national convention this month.
The secretary lauded the federal High court, Jalingo for its landmark verdict in favour of the forum’s demand.
He appreciated the prayers, concern and loyalty of all party faithful during her trying moment and sued for maximum cooperation aimed at repositioning the party in Taraba state to achieve greater results in the forthcoming general elections.
Sani Abdullahi Talla reiterated that their struggle is not in anyway aimed at undermining anybody in the APC,but to ensure that due process is followed for the progress of the party.
The secretary while assuring the continued support to the Apc in Taraba state,urged eligible voters in the party to avail themselves of the opportunity of the ongoing Continuous Voter’s Registration CVR by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to get their voter cards.
He described Voter cards as a pivotal tool of electing credible leaders that will represent their interest in the forthcoming general elections.
