The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari to come out and explain to Nigerians what they are doing with the nation’s resources now that the price of crude oil cost $112 per barrel.
Speaking when it received the Bukola Saraki Contact and Advocacy Council Committee in Katsina State, the State Chairman of the PDP, Yusuf Majigiri made the plea to the APC government who had on several instances accused the then PDP governments to have misused the opportunity when a barrel of the product was sold above $30, saying it is now time to also announced to Nigerians how they are managing the nation funds as oil is being sold at $112 per barrel.
Majigiri, therefore claimed that the APC governments both at state and federal levels have failed Nigerians, vowing that the main opposition party will reclaim power in 2023.
He noted that insecurity, economic meltdown and fuel scarcity were the primary achievements of the APC government, adding that Nigerians are suffering as a result of the visionless government of the APC.
While explaining the mission of the delegation to the state, Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher, said they were in Katsina to make a consultation for Senator Bukola Saraki presidential bid where he affirmed that only the former Senate President has the political will and capacity to solve the economic predicament and rising security challenges caused by the APC government for the past seven years.
