Nigeria’ll support skills acquisition centre, Lafia to enhance technology development – science, tech minister

The Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi says the federal government is equipping some science schools across the country in addition to supporting the vocational and skill acquisition centre, Lafia to enhance technical education.

He stated this shortly after a closed door meeting with the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe in Lafia, lauding the Nasarawa state government for the establishment of a standard vocational and skills acquisition centre .

He described the initiative as one which is in tandem with the federal government’s drive towards entrenching an innovation driven economy.

On the technology village in Karu, the Minister noted that the centre will create technology hub for the country.

Apex News Exclusiverecalled that the Nasarawa State vocational and skills acquisition cenre, initiated by the immediate past Governor, Senator Tanko Almakura, was completed by his successor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule and was commissioned recently by President Muhammadu Buhari during a two-day working visit to Nasarawa State.
