In the Bible, the Christian holy book, the Magi were the three wise men from the East who are said to have brought presents to the baby Jesus. Further
into Theology, the Magi or the three wise men, all came from different directions for a mission. One came from Asia another came from Europe and the other of
the 3 (three) came from Africa. They all had vision and mission to pursue. It was a mysterious meeting, for they never knew each other before. There, they were
to accomplish a mission. It was a difficult task yet they were set to achieve it.
Their strength was their might. The journey was hectic, cumbersome as they had to pass through the usual cold nights and the excruciating sun heat of the
day that do scorch. That notwithstanding, the heavenly bodies in celestial beauty gave them company.
The Jukun Wanu ordeal, predicament need the coming of the Magi. Not necessarily 3 (three) which is a mere number. This number can become elastic and expand to include more people on this mission. This journey of redemption, survival, freedom, liberation and revanchism must evoke scorched earth policy.
Here, Jukun rights have been trampled upon in Benue State. They have become prisoners in their homeland. It is ironical to be a slave in one’s home. Here, the
Jukuns are. What gifts or presents do you have like the Magi did to the baby Jesus? What are you bringing to Jukun Wanu land? The Wanu land situation is
pathetic. Are you sympathetic or apathetic? Or you empathize with this bizarre precarious quandary? Which side of the scales are you standing on? The scales of justice are weighing on a balance determinant. The clock of justice is on the
tick-tock sound movement. Are you conscious of it? Do not be photogenic. Be your real self with body, soul and spirit. Your pulsation is your vitality.
The land and the people shall forever pray for the patriotic sons and daughters of Wanu for their effort in redeeming the image of this nation.
Everybody is a partaker in the rescue mission. Be a Magi, the Magi, as one of the three wise men to save the land from perversion. Do not go the wrong way.
You must avoid Herod. No hanky-panky game.
God, save the land and their people.
