Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Tuesday signed an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) to explore the benefits of rice value chain.
The President ACCI, Dr Al-Mujtaba Abubakar at the event commended the representation and commitment of RIFAN to consummate an MoU with the Chamber.
The President RIFAN, Alhaji Aminu Muhammed Goronyo said his association is looking for a lasting, successful, and mutually beneficial relationship with ACCI.
Alhaji Goronyo stated that the association has put in place mechanisms for continuity and sustainability for it to stand on its own beyond this administration while calling on all members of the Chamber that are interested to register.
It was agreed that a committee combining members of ACCI and RIFAN be set up to work on implementation of activities for the benefit of both parties.
In company of the ACCI President were; the VP Finance, Alhaji Usman Balarabe, the VP Agriculture, Dr Kolawole Owoka who joined virtually, the DG, Victoria Akai.
