Increasing numbers of youths and stakeholders have called on the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio to declare for president of Nigeria next year.

They made this known when The Godswill Akpabio Uncommon Transformational Support Organization (GAUTSO) Delta State Chapter was formally inaugurated in Asaba, capital of Delta State yesterday.

They expressed happiness that the ruling party, APC has zoned the Presidency to the South of the country.

The Coordinator of GAUTSO Delta State Chapter, Hon Patrick Nwanze stated that the zoning of the Presidency to the South, is, ” the
biggest achievement of the APC and it gives a region of this country a sense of belonging”.

He went on to say that since it’s been the yearning of the South to have the Presidency zoned to this region, the action by the ruling party APC is impressive and a good step towards bringing forward illustrious sons of the South to join the race for the number one position in the governance of Nigeria.

The inauguration of GAUTSO in Delta state is to ensure the state joins the GAUTSO groups calling on the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio to come out in 2023 and contest for the Presidency of Nigeria.

Nwanze noted that Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio (GOA) is the Best Man for the job considering his keen method of problem-solving for a lasting solution and following through with projects for community development and the environment.

He said “This was clearly seen when he was governor in Akwa Ibom state; where among many achievements he provided a lasting solution to the ecological challenges of Akwa Ibom state and initiated an effective flood control system in the state, ridding Uyo, the state capital and its environs of their yearly flooding problems.”

Nwanze emphasized that the plethora of awards Senator Akpabio received while he was Governor between 2007 and 2015 are a pointer to sterling qualities of uncommon transformational leadership.

According to him, the entire media in Nigeria was agog with encomiums when he served as Governor – and this has continued to linger even seven years after.
