The Eagles Square and indeed most areas of Abuja are in a carnival mode as the All Progressives Congress, (APC), holds its national convention Saturday, March 26.
Inside and outside the Eagles Square were full of supporters of party faithful chanting and playing tunes of their aspirants.
Besides, the supporters also were carrying posters, handbills and other printed materials of the person they are routing for.
The venue became chaotic as different groups criss cross the various stands chanting in a frenzy.
Though Apex News Exclusive gathered that the post of the national chairman would be a consensus and other positions would be based on a zonal “unity list”, the convention has all the trappings of the convention that goes to the ballot.
Most of the afternoon, some governors especially those of Plateau State, Simon Lalong and Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State sat in the open pavilions for delegates.
Food and drink sellers within the venue also made brisk business with many hiking the prices of their commodities.
