Peace central to human existence – Kaduna Governor, El-Rufa’i

In a bid to guarantee enduring peace in southern Kaduna, Operation Safe Haven Jos, Sector 7, Kafanchan has organized a football competition to foster unity among youths of the area.
At the final of the competition tagged “Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali Ramadan/Easter Football Peace Competition, Southern Kaduna 2022”, Zonkwa selected of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area defeated Golden Balley of Jema’a Local Government Area by three goals to one.
In a message to the closing ceremony held at Kafanchan New Township stadium, Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna state said peace was central to human existence, hence the need to pursue it at all cost.
Represented by the Administrator Kafanchan Municipal Authority, Mrs Phoebe Sukai Yayi, Governor El-Rufa’i thanked the Commander, Operation Safe Haven for organizing the competition, describing it as a milestone in the search for lasting peace in Southern Kaduna.

El-Rufa’i also commended efforts put in by stakeholders, especially traditional rulers and religious leaders in promoting peace in the area.
Earlier, the Commander Operation Safe Haven, Jos, Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali said the football competition was put together to meaningfully occupy the youths apart from serving as a unifying avenue for peaceful coexistence.
Major General Ali who commended all teams for participation, also appreciated everyone who contributed to the success of the competition.
He called on all and sundry to keep the peace at all times for sustainable development.

The football competition which involved Kaura, Sanga, Kauru, Jema’a and Zangon Kataf Local Government Area ended with the presentation of trophies, cash prizes and thirty tricycles to people living with disabilities
