Hajiya Salamatu Al-Makura Chairperson of MCEF

Mother and Child Care Enhancement Foundation, ( MCEF ) based in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State has donated to patients.
The Foundation which was initiated by the former First lady of the state, Hajiya Salamatu Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to assist the needy, especially those in need of medical financial assistance.
According to the wife of the immediate former Governor of Nasarawa, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, “The Mother and Child Care Enhancement Foundation, (MCEF) was established to assist people with health and financial challenges.
“My husband, family and friends are being very supportive in my quest to give back to the society as health is wealth.

“I found it worthy to complement government’s effort in having a healthy and vibrant people.
“I am also calling on the people to always maintain good environment and personal hygiene to prevent contacting diseases,” she said.
It was observed that the foundation has benefitted from cash donations of N10,000 to 283 admitted patients at Dalhatu Arab Specialist Hospital, (DASH) in Lafia metropolis.
The beneficiaries includes children, males and females i different ward respectively.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr Ikrima Hassan thank Hajiya Salamatu Al-Makura for her kind gesture.
Some of the beneficiaries the donor for assisting them in their hours of need.
